Start your career in truck driving by earning your commercial driver's license (CDL): either the CDL-A required for driving heavy trucks and tractor-trailers, or the CDL-B required for driving straight trucks, dump trucks, passenger buses and motor coaches. Classes are now being offered at AACC in Arnold!

Commercial Driver’s License A
AACC has partnered with Elocin Global Logistics to offer CDL Class A training. The training consists of two classroom lecture courses and one driving range and highway course.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid U.S. driver's license
- Able to read road signs and maps in English
- Obtain a CDL driver's permit from Maryland's Motor Vehicle Administration
- Successfully pass the Maryland Department of Transportation physical examination and drug screen

Credentials
Upon successful completion of the courses, students earn an AACC Continuing Education Certificate and are prepared to take either the CDL Class A or CDL Class B State road test. Once you successfully complete all the course requirements of the certificate program with a passing grade or higher, submit a Student Application for a Continuing Education Certificate.
